the outside pool at the communal bath. The water comes straight out of the mountain and falls into this pool. There is also a men's side.

Minolta camera pic - welding at Toyota's Sutsumi Plant
This plant is old but is spotlessly clean. Completely unlike any American car manufacturer, all of Toyota's facilities including Scion and Lexus are impecable.
Just arriving in the room at the Gora Kadan which used to be the emporer's residence. The tatami mats were on the floor. The black table is very low and we were given these pillow chairs.
To sleep very comfy and warm down mats and comforters were laid out by our geisha.
There was a back porch with low chairs overlooking the mountain and hot spring.
another view of the beautiful communal bath. Because it is forbidden to wear anything in the baths, I chose a time when no one was there to take pix.
I did do it, although David didn't. It was very embarrassing to say the least.
Toyota's future personal transportation vehicle. I can't wait!! Fits me like a glove. It will also lay back to be driven faster! You can see the speaker in the side up near my shoulder. The stereo is great. Drives like a dream.

note that one sits down while bathing and uses a hand-held shower. Traditionally it was just the bucket.
The room where the big 11 course dinner was served. First there was a dance by the geishas. We were all provided with kimonos which is all you are allowed to wear at the Gora Kadan.
This was the most perfect photo op ever
